Best-Selling Car Brands: USA, February 2015

Due to unfavorable weather conditions in some parts of the U.S., the number of auto deals in February 2015 was not as great as automakers had anticipated. However February 2015 was definitely a strong month.
Compared with February 2014 there were almost 64,000 more sales (+5%). Among the fastest-growing brands were Mini and Jeep, while Smart, Maserati, and Dodge had very poor results.
Now let’s look at the results of top-selling auto manufacturers.
General Motors, who sold more cars than any other automakers, posted a jump in Chevrolet and GMC sales, and a decline in Buick and Cadillac sales.
Toyota Motor is on the second line on the ranking list of the best-selling automakers.
In spite of the fact that Fiat and Dodge reported a decrease, FCA on the whole boasted a 6% increase because of Jeep’s sales growth.
A 2% decrease for the Ford Motor Company resulted from Lincoln’s sharp dive (-7.5%) and Ford brand’s slight decrease (-1.8%). Sonata, Santa Fe, and Genesis were the top-sellers from Hyundai.
Nissan’s Rogue had its best-ever month and outsold the Ford Escape, while the Nissan brand outsold Honda. Subaru sales grew 19%, BMW 14.5%, Kia 7%, Mazda 5%, Volkswagen sales rates went down (5.2%).
