20 Best-Selling Cars: USA, February 2015

This time the winner is Toyota Camry. In February 2015 the number of deals almost reached 40.000 (32,942, to be precise). And you might remember that Camry has already grabbed the number one spot three times in seven months. In December 2014 it outsold its direct rival, Nissan Altima, but still lost a bit to another Toyota’s best-seller, Corolla. But in February 2015 Camry gained a victory (+13.6%).

America’s second best-selling car in February 2015 was Nissan Altima. Its sales went down 7.7% as compared with the same month of the previous year. This fact can partly be explained by the sharp rivalry with midsize cars that also had healthy sales figures: Ford Fusion (22,732, -4.9%), Honda Accord (21,616, -12.2%), Chevrolet Malibu (13,971, -19.9%).

Toyota Camry outsold the second-ranked Nissan Altima by almost 4.500 cars. At the moment this model is 4509 sales ahead of Corolla.

Among the fastest-growing cars were Subaru Outback (+29.7% as compared with February 2014), Chrysler 200 (+31.2%), and Hyundai Sonata (25.0%). However, more than half brands on the top 20 list posted year-over-year decreases in February. On the flip side, three Chevrolet cars all generated 16% (or worse) February declines: Impala (-24.5%), Malibu (-19.9%), Cruze (-16.2%).
