Yesterday CBS 60 Minutes aired a piece called “Race for the Electric Car”. The interview features Elon Musk of Tesla and GM vice chairman Bob Lutz. Musk shows us the car, talks about their customers and lot of other things.
Lutz tells us that GM was inspired by Tesla. He also talks about the software that runs Volt. Also Fisker Karma and Aptera are mentioned. Futuristic Aptera will be available already this winter.

That is an interesting looking vehicle, another interesting, futuristic car is the Alias due out next year. Priced at about 30K, it will have a range of over 100 miles and over 100 mph speed as well. Coming from a company who has stoically continued to produce EVs even when they were being laughed at, this should be really interesting to see.
