At the Paris Motor show next month Toyota will reveal the world’s smalles four-seater named iQ. iQ measures less than 3 meters (10 feet) in length.
Sales are expected to start soon after the Paris Motor Show. Toyota estimates that they can sell about 100,000 vehicles a year. Now the rumor is that Toyota is already working on a hybrid version.
The upcoming iQ is getting a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder engine producing 70 horsepower or a 1.4-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel making 89 horsepower.
iQ hybrid would be powered by a 500cc engine and a small electric engine taking inspiration from the next generation Prius.

That means plug-in hybrid iQ could travel at least 5 miles on electric power alone. That means electric power would be enough for people who drive only in the city and their daily range is not more than 15 miles. Toyota will reveal the iQ hybrid most likely in 2010.
