2008 model year Tesla Roadsters are all spoken for in the United States, but with the increasing production levels 2009 year model Roadsters are still available.
With deliveries starting this spring, Europeans can now start ordering a Limited Edition European Tesla Roadster.

The Tesla Roadster is scheduled to make its European debut at this months Top Marques Monaco auto show (April 24 - 27).

Tesla will build 250 Euro-spec Roadsters at their Californian factory and orders will be taken on a first come, first serve basis by emailing eurosales@teslamotors.com. The price tag for a fully loaded Roadster will be Euro 99,000 (excluding VAT), or just over USD 155,000 where a US 2009 base model will set you back USD 98,000. Thats a price difference of over 50,000 USD. If they go well in Europe with that price then why should Tesla continue its sales in the states with the current price of around 100,000 USD? Weak dollar might have Tesla to look over the pricing and also market plans in the states.

There is no information yet what is different on the Euro-spec model. Is it just the lights?

Tesla Motors Vice President of Sales, Marketing & Service, Darryl Siry said: “Now that we are in production, we are excited to offer this groundbreaking car to Europeans who want to be the first on the continent to drive a car with extraordinary performance, beautiful styling, and zero emissions.”
