To some people Bugatti Veyron with its top speed of 253 mph still is the fastest production car even though there have been some very limited edition cars like SSC Ultimate Aero TT that reached 257 mph and 9ff GT9 that reached 254 mph (425 km/h).
Now Bugatti wants to make sure that it truly is the fastest production (super)car in the world. According to a unofficial leaked memo Bugatti is now working on another variant of the Veyron. This time it gets more power, and by more we mean a lot more.
This unique version of the Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès was first launched in Geneva in complimentary tones of ebony and étoupe and ebony and brick.
In order to give the customer a wider range of options Hermès and Bugatti have developed four new colours schemes in line with the heritage and the values of the two houses.
Bugatti unveiled the new Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport with a unique removable roof at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. It has two removable roofs. First one is a transparent polycarbonate hard-top that can’t be stored in the car.
Second one is an umbrella-like soft top that can be taken with you. What is the down side? Well the soft top has a speed limit of 80 mph so you can’t go 252 mph like you can do with the polycarbonate roof.

The world’s most exclusive car combines the ultimate in performance with the pleasure of open-top driving. The sophisticated design of its bodywork and aerodynamic components directs the airflow over the heads of driver and passenger so they feel no draught.

Development of this supercar began with the 1999 EB 18/4 “Veyron” concept car.
Veyron is powered by a 1,001 PS (987 hp/736 kW) W16 engine. It is able to achieve a top speed of 407.47 km/h (253.19 mph). At first the producers were looking for one Veyron but were offered three! Surely you can’t find another place in the world, where you can find 3 Veyrons in 48 hours.
Owners asked to stay anonymous. By the way one of them(the aluminium one) was Veyron Pur Sang that only had a total production of FIVE.
Green motoring organization called City Car Club conducted a survey to see who are the top celebrity polluters and what they drive. Survey shows that the X Factor judge’s cars have the highest average level of carbon dioxide emissions per kilometre. Most polluting car on the list is Bugatti Veyron which emits 574g/km of CO2.
But who cares? Think how many so called celebrities do we have and how much do they drive their super ultra expensive cars? And now think how many people do we have who drive daily their huge pickup trucks and how much they pollute!

The very first copy of a Bugatti Veyron, the one which Bugatti brought to the Beijing Motor Show, has been sold to a Chinese customer for $3.6m. Maybe somebody should have told him that he can get the same car everywhere else for “just” 30% of that …
The customer will fly to Bugatti’s Molsheim headquarters to pick out the color scheme and options (apparently no one told him he could do it online), and pay a whopping 25 million yuan (approximately $3.6 million, more than twice the sticker price) for the privilege of owning the first Veyron in China.
