It is very hard for photographers to spot all the new models that are on the way. Usually they wear a very heavy camouflage and are tested somewhere in the middle of nowhere. This time the upcoming R8 V10 was spotted right in front of the Audi headquarters.
New super R8 has wider intakes, more aggressive body kit, s-style grill and larger oval exhaust pipes.

Current M5 has 507hp and is powered by a 5.0L V10. That engine won BMW Engine of the year in category 4-liter and above in 2005 and 2006.
Now Autocar has the news that BMW is working on a new M5 that will have the same V10 engine bored out to 5.5 litres. Most likely it will get a direct injection, turbocharged unit to have less emissions.
The engines will be available with either the six-speed manual gearbox or the new seven-speed M DCT double-clutch transmission.

They told us it would never happen, but it now seems that, contrary to earlier reports from senior Audi bosses, next year’s even hotter R8, the RS8, will get the same twin-turbocharged, 572bhp V10 as the RS6 super-saloon.
With that kind of power, expect the car to crack 62mph in less than 4.0 seconds, 100mph in around 8.5 seconds, and a top speed over 200mph. Definetely a treat to in-house rivals such as Porsch e911 GT2 and Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4.
