2010 Audi A5/S5 Cabriolet unveiled ahead of 2009 Geneva Auto Show

Audi has released quick details(US data) for the all-new Audi A5 and S5 Cabriolet.

World auto show debut is at Geneva auto show in March, 2009. In the states new A5/S5 Cabriolet will go on sale in Fall 2009 as a 2010 model year. Launch of the A5/S5 Cabriolet replaces the A4/S4 Cabriolet. Audi has not released pricing information yet.

The A5 product line is now expanded to include Cabriolet models with three powerful and fuel-efficient powertrains (2.0 TFSI 4 cylinder, 3.2 FSI V6, 3.0 TFSI V6 with supercharged technology). Europeans will likely see the same gasoline and diesel engines found in the current A5.

Audi S5 Cabrio spotted

While these photos are grainy, spy photographers still got a great look at the 2010 Audi S5 convertible during a sunrise photo shoot.

In what appears to be Audi’s Ibis White, this brochure-ready, convertible two door will pack all the same engines as the current S5 coupe. Though we aren’t sure if the convertible will carry the coupe’s 354-hp rating.

Supercharged Audi S5 GT by MTM

Motoren Technik Mayer from Wettstetten, Germany, puts the Audi S5 under pressure. As “MTM GT Supercharged” the sporty coupe’s supercharged engine demonstrates impressive performance data.

Together with bigger brakes, a coilover suspension and other minor changes, the result is an overall package which can take on the race track.
