Original Safrane was built from 1992-2000 and was replaced with Vel Satis. Renault claims it is a mid-size luxury sedan. Sure it is more luxury than Megane or Laguna, but we still would not call it luxury.
New Safrane is not so new. Actually it is a rebadged Samsung Motors SM5 sedan. Those of you in Europe who want to know what will it cost take your time as Renault will only offer the Safrane in the Gulf States. Why won’t Renault sell it in Europe is hard to understand as the car surely has the looks.
