Accompanied by a sound spectacle of automobile top class, the 964 Newton metres torque push down on the asphalt and vehemently thrust the car forward.

At the end of the four kilometre long straight, the display of the satellite-supported time measurement shows an incredible 409 km/h. Spy video: Porsche Panamera testing in the Arctic Circle

Posted on Jul 07 2008 by Moses | Posted under Porsche, Videos, spy pictures | No Comments »

Porsche Panamera concept
Porsche Panamera sedan has been caught testing in the Arctic Circle to make sure that the four door supercar by Porsche will start and work on cold winters like it does on warmer climate countries.

New Panamera is getting a V6, V8, Turbo V8 and a hybrid. Even a diesel version is a possibility.

It is a Porsche, but at the same time it is not. To lot of Porschephiles a true Porsche is a 911 so the fact that Porsche makes something that has four doors is not what they realy expect from the carmaker. But lets face it Porsche makes lot of money with Cayenne and with the Panamera they will be making even more as it will be a good car because it is designed and made by Porsche.

This Porsche flies!

Porsche flying
Here we have one of the graziest crashes we have ever seen involving a Porsche. Kelvin Burns was racing in Thruxton, England when the car got bumped and lost control.
The car got some air underneath and performed a short “flight” over the fence.

As you can see from the video cameraman was pretty close to the whole thing. Strong nerves!

Porsche Boxster dropped from 30-meters
In Matinkylä Finland a radio station dropped a Porsche Boxster from 30 meters. Why?

Radio station listeners had a chance to vote if the car should be given away to a lucky voter or dropped down to the ground. Seems that more people wanted to see the car dropped.

Does it mean if I cant have it then no one else should have it? Strange people!

Is Porsche working on a new model based on VW Golf?

Posted on Jun 09 2008 by Moses | Posted under Porsche, future/concept | No Comments »

Porsche golf in works?
Porsche and Volkswagen are very closely related. Cayenne shares a lot with Touareg and Audi’s Q7.
Now rumor is that Porsche is working on a Porsche badged Volkswagen Golf for 2012.

This would not be the first time when Porsche has a smaller car that shares parts/design with VW. Porsche 924 engine was basically VW. If Porsche introduces another smaller model then it would be competing with Audi A3, BMW 1-series and smaller Mercedes-Benz models.

Gemballa introduces Avalanche GT2 EVO

Posted on May 21 2008 by Moses | Posted under Porsche, Supercars, Tuners | No Comments »

Gemballa Avalanche 600 GT2 Evo
The basis of the Avalanche 600 GT EVO is the Porsche 997 turbo or the GT2. GEMBALLA even knows how to boost the already impressive set of performance figures of the production model. 600 bhp (442 kW) put the competition from Maranello and Sant’Agata-Bolognese in a tight spot. The six-cylinder boxer with a torque of 840 Nm – power-boosted by the GEMBALLA power kit - stands out even more.

GEMBALLA’s power boost allows the modified 997 to race at a top speed of 320 km/h, accomplishing the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds. The latter can – depending on the driver’s skill – be even further enhanced by fitting the sport shifter for vehicles with a manual gearshift, reduced gear lever travel, which is available in the “Sport” and “Race” versions.
