9ff GT9 tops 409 km/h (253 mph)

9ff has been working on the GT9 for a while with a plan to make it the fastest production car in the world (how much of a production car it is is up to you to decide) Now they claim that GT9 has hit 409 km/h (253 mph). That is 2 km faster than the Veyron. Currently the world record is set by the SSC Ultimate Aero that hit 255.83 mph (411.7 km/h).
GT9 is based on the Porsch 911 GT3, but in fact it shares just a very small percentage of its components. It is lower, longer and the engine sits in the middle not at the rear.
