2010 BMW X6 Twin TurboWe have seen the X6 already on the streets. Soon you can own the top version of the so called SAV (Sport Activity Vehicle).

Rumor is that the car is powered with 5.0 liter V10 with 507 hp from the next M5 and M6. Chances are that it will also get an M badge then.

IF this is the “regular” turbo version then it should have a 4.4 liter V8 that pops out around 400 hp.

G-POWER G4 3.0i EVO III based on BMW Z4 3.0i300 km/h top speed, 0-100 km/h in just 4,9 seconds, 375 hp and an engine’s peak torque of 420 Nm: These are the characteristics of the latest G-POWER development for the BMW Z4 3.0i.

In addition to the increase in power output of 144 hp for the 6- cylinder engine, that normally produces 231 hp, the G-POWER offers a complete tuning program for the Bavarian roadster consisting of: Aerodynamic body kit, light-alloy wheels, suspension modifications, high-performance brake system and exclusive interior components.

2010 BMW 5-seriesExactly a month ago our spy photographer spotted the next 5-series on the Nürburgring

Here we have current M5 spied together with the next 5-series.

When you look at the cars you ll see how big the changes really are. New front grill and headlights. New bumpers. Mirrors with turn signals. And look at the rear lights. These seem to be the biggest difference compared to the current 5-series.

In additon the X6 Active Hybrid pictures we brought you beginning of this month we have the pictures and first details on the X5 hybrid as well.

Can we be sure it is the prototype of X5 Hybrid?
The car has a huge bulge like the X6 Active Hybrid our photographer spotted in the Death Valley and also it has a warning sticker on the rear window:: “Caution: Hybrid-Prototype (High Voltage On Board).”

BMW Motorrad Superbike Project
In the eight months since BMW’s announcement that they would enter the Superbike World Championship in 2009, the project has gathered pace and race fans everywhere have now been able to see the tangible aspects of the project properly for the first time.

The new BMW S 1000 RR has been tested at various racetracks in Spain, but it has now had its first test at a track used by the Superbike World Championship - the Eurospeedway Lausitzring.

2009 BMW X3 prototype
This here should be the next X3 not the new X1 as we thought it is at first.
Dimensions of the car should stay close to what they are now. Main styling changes look to be new grill and changed headlights.

New X3 will definetely face a very strong competition from Audi Q5 and the new Mercedes-Benz GLK.
Production will be moved to the Spartanburg plant where the X5 and X6 are made.

2009 BMW 7-series
BMW has officially introduced the new 7-series by now and we have also brought a great video of the car.

New 7-series should be available in the dealerships in the end of this year. Hybrid version will not be available before 2009.

BMW Group and Fiat Group Automobiles sign Memorandum of Understanding

The BMW Group and Fiat Group Automobiles (FGA) are considering the possibility of co-operation in the areas of architectures and components for their MINI and Alfa Romeo vehicles.

A Memorandum of Understanding to this effect was signed by Friedrich Eichiner, member of the Board of Management of BMW AG responsible for Corporate and Brand Development, and Alfredo Altavilla, Senior Vice President, Business Development, Fiat Group Automobiles and CEO of Fiat Powertrain Technologies.

New variaton of the BMW X6 will be the ActiveHybrid. Here is a production ready X6 ActiveHybrid with little disguise from the hot weather tests in Death Valley.

BMW X6 ActiveHybrid concept was shown at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor how.
According to BMW the BMW X6 ActiveHybrid is as agile and enjoyable as it is efficient, leaving conventional hybrids far behind in the driving pleasure stakes.

We expect the X6 Hybrid in 2009 as a 2010 model.

2009 BMW 7-series
Few weeks ago we brought you spy pictures of the 2009 BMW 7-series with a long wheelbase. The car had very little camouflage and it was quit clear what the next 7-series will look like.

Now the pictures of the new 7-series(not the long wheelbase model) have “leaked” to the Internet. Most likely clever marketing by BMW, but who cares as we have the pictures now and surely soon we will have more when BMW OFFICIALLY introduces the model. As you can tell from the pictures new 7-series will get LEDs in the front and also rear. Also look at the interior picture and you will see how the new i-Drive system will look like.

Few weeks ago we brought you the pictures of the rumored M badged X5 Now we have the first pictures of the 2010 BMW X5 with twin turbo V8 undisguised on the Nürburgring.

Rumor is that the engine is4.4-Liter 408 HP Twin-Turbo V8 from X6 that should offer serious competition to Porsche Cayenne Turbo.

BMW Museum is now open to the public

Chairman of the Board of Management of the BMW Group, Dr. Norbert Reithofer, opened the BMW Museum in an official opening ceremony this Thursday.
He highlighted the importance of tradition for the company: “Awareness of our heritage, the experiences and developments that our company has been through give us direction, power and inspiration for our work”.

Train rams parked 5-series BMW in Tallinn, Estonia (Video)

Train rams BMW
Last Thursday a train in Tallinn, Estonia was suppose to pick up the passengers and then head to Moscow, but something happened and the train did not stop as should and rammed 5-series BMW. It stopped less than a meter before the building.

Don’t feel sorry for the BMW driver as the car was parked to an area where parking is not permitted.
Over 3 tons of fuel leaked from the train which has been cleaned by now.

Rear door is longer giving us a clear sign that new 7-series will also be offered with a longer wheelbase as the current 7-series to offer more room for the passengers.

BMW M division celebrates 30 years and 300 000 vehicles

2008 BMW M3
30 years, 300 000 vehicles and a BMW M3 Coupe – these are the most significant earmarks of a remarkable anniversary. Three decades after commencing with the assembly of their first series production model, the BMW M GmbH has now delivered its 300 000th vehicle.
The alpine white BMW M3 Coupe was handed over to a customer in Regensburg. This East Bavarian town is also the location of the BMW plant in which the high-performance sports car is produced.
