Fiat 500
When you travel in the southern Europe you will notice Fiat 500 everywhere. It has become a huge sales hit for Fiat. The closest competitor is probably Mini who already has a convertible version.

Now Fiat has confirmed that 500 will be getting a convertible version. Company’s styling director Roberto Giolito did not confirm any dates, but most likely it will be introduced this fall during some bigger car show in Europe.

The car will be getting a soft top like the Mini has. Though Peugeot, Renault whose smaller models are also competing with Fiat have foldable hard tops it should make sense that Fiat goes with soft top as the car’s current design would not have enough space for a foldable hard top. And please don’t even think about changing the rear of that car. It just looks too good!

Earlier this year Fiat announced that 500 will also be sold in the U.S. market. Having driven the new 500 I look forward to the convertible version as this car is a true city car with very unique and lovely design.
