Datsun Fairlady Z Concept DesignPolish designer Iacoski has created an interpretation of a Datsun 240Z/Fairlady. He sais he has always loved the old Fairlady (240Z S30) so decided to make his own modern version. He ads that he is not a big fun of all next “Z” generations so he kept the style of the old one as much as
possible.

Even though it is just a concept in a digital form we love it and Nissan should take a look at these pictures.

Lamborghini Murcielago vs. Nissan GT-RIt seems that some folks in Japan put the Nissan GT-R against Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 on a distance thats seems to be somewhere around a quarter of a mile. The race was from a running start not from a standstill as usual drag races. Anyway it is quit clear that Murcielago should beat it, but take a look at the video. Nissan’s V6 does offer serious competition to the Lambo’s V12. Anyway we can’t wait to see the V-spec GT-R on the track.

2008 Nissan GT-R
Nissan GT-R surely is one of the most expected cars. Little while a go Brits placed 700 orders for it in 48 hours.

I guess for a car that costs less than 911 Turbo and laps Nürburgring in 7 minutes and 29 seconds that kind of a popularity is understandable.
Now Nissan has released a promotional video of the GT-R.
Hope that they will have more videos coming soon with no music on the background, just engine sound.

Nissan 370Z
According to company’s design chief, Shiro Nakamura the 370Z will be more aggressive than the 350Z with more muscular panel surfaces.

The essential proportions of the Z remain intact, as does the curved roof and the distinctive vertical door handles. Most surprising is the news that the new Z-car sits on a wheelbase shorter than the 2650mm of the outgoing car, taking advantage of the fact that it remains a two-seater.

Posted on May 09 2008 by Moses | Posted under Nissan | 1 Comment »

Nissan Cube

The Nissan Cube is a mini MPV produced by Nissan and sold in the Japanese market. Like its name suggests, the Cube is very square-like in its shape, with only the front end sticking out from the box shape of the design.

In January 2008, Ishiro Nakamura, Nissan’s global design director stated that the Cube will be coming to the U.S. market. The U.S.-bound Cube will get 37 MPG and will be equipped with “e-4WD”, which includes an electric motor operating (when demand dictates) alongside the gasoline engine. The Cube’s U.S. release is scheduled to occur in late 2008 or early 2009.

Now Nissan is also considering Europe for Cube. It is surprising that it has taken them so long because small efficient and trendy cars are very popular in Europe.
