In addition to the XF-R spy photos we brought you earlier this month we have a video for all the Jaguar fans of the upcoming performance XF from the hot weather tests in Death Valley.
Though there are Land Rovers surrounding the car trying to block the camera we can see the car very clearly and hear its 5-liter V8 that makes around 500 horsepower.
Jaguar XF has been on the market since March. It is one of the most successful models Jaguar has put out in years. Now Jaguar is working on a performance version of the XF called XF-R that should compete with the likes of BMW M5, AMG E36, Audi RS6.
Main changes from the XF are hood vents, more aggressive front air dam, changed grille.
Rumor is that the XF-R will get a new supercharged 5.0-liter V8 that makes around 500 hp.
Nürburgring is not a safe track. It is not unusual for the track to be closed several times a day for cleanup, repair, and medical intervention. The track management does not publish any official figures, but regular visitors to the track have used police reports to estimate the number of fatalities at somewhere between 3-12 in a full year.
Thankfully the new XJ just had minor damage to the bonnet after a crash from a test drive on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
We are not sure yet is this the current redesigned XJ in testing or perhaps a test mule for the 2010 year model.
In addition to yesterdays pictures of the facelifted 2009 Jaguar XK Coupe we have fresh picures of the facelifted Cabriolet as well.
The only disguise the car has is just some duck tape on the front bumper.
These pictures were taken just few hours ago by our spy photographer in Germany.
From the pictures we can tell that the facelifted 2009 Jaguar XK will get new bumpers and LED lights in the rear.
No information on the interior or engine yet, rumor is that XK might be getting a diesel other than that powertrain should not have any other major changes.

DEARBORN, Mich., March 26, 2008 – Ford Motor Company [NYSE: F] announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to sell its Jaguar Land Rover operations to Tata Motors.
The transaction is the culmination of Ford’s decision last August to explore strategic options for the Jaguar Land Rover business, as the company accelerates its focus on its core Ford brand and “One Ford” global transformation.
The sale is expected to close by the end of the next quarter and is subject to customary closing conditions, including receipt of applicable regulatory approvals.
