When Dodge introduced the new Charger concept in 1999 lot of people were disappointed that the modern day Charger had 2 additional doors. Classic Charger form the late 60s and early 70s is still known as a true American muscle car. So a four-door Charger was not what most Dodge fans really wanted.

Today the four-door Charger sells quit well, but still there are people who think the Charger name should not be on a four-door car.

Lotus Elise on a carbon fiber diet

Posted on Sep 12 2008 by admin | Posted under Lotus, custom cars | 1 Comment »

Lotus Elise on a carbon fiber dietLotus Elise weighs just 860 kg (1896 lb). That is a very light car and Toyota’s 1.8-liter engine takes it 0-60 under 5 seconds. If you want to get the Elise faster you can either upgrade the engine and go with a fixed roof. You can also improve Elise’s power to weight ratio by making the car even more lighter.

Looks like this Elise in Hong Kong had all the panels replaced with dry carbon fiber parts. That is lot of money spent to save weight on your car. There is also a possibility that the car is “vinyl wrapped” to give the car carbon fiber look. Either way the car looks awesome with its matte exterior and blacked lights and wheels.

Posted on Aug 30 2008 by admin | Posted under Ferrari, custom cars | 1 Comment »

FerramboThis here is most probably one of the best custom jobs we have seen in a long time. Ferrambo is a 1960 Rambler that is powered by Ferrari’s 3.6L V8 engine that came out of a wrecked 2002 Ferrari 360 Modena.

Every little detail has given lot of attention and was either machined or handmade. V8 from a Ferrari 360 Modena was placed to the rear and where the original engine was is now a luggage compartment. As the engine is Ferrari’s so is the 6-speed manual transmission, also Ferrari unequal wishbone front and rear suspension were used.

1040-hp Hemi-powered Rolls-Royce Silver ShadowOriginally this vintage Silver Shadow featured a 189 hp 6.75-liter V8. Now that 6.75-liter V8 has been swapped out for a 592 Hemi that has dual-stage nitrous system. Total power output is at 1040 hp.

Chrome engine that pops out the hood is definetely not your ordinary Rolls. But the inside with a roll cage covered with leather looks very classy.

The car also has a roll cage that is covered with the same leather as rest of the interior. I must say that the inside looks very classy.
