Supposedly Ferrari has confirmed that their new mini-model is coming to the Paris Motor Show this fall and it wont be called “Dino” as rumored at first. The front-engined new Ferrari will be possibly called GT420 or GT470.

To those who don’t know then Dino was the name applied to a smaller sportscar engineered by Ferrari in the 1960s. It was named for a son of founder Enzo Ferrari.

The new so called “baby” Ferrari will be based on a shortened platform from the Maserati GranTurismo. Powered by the same V-8 found in the Maserati, the Ferrari will sport a 4.7-liter version. The new Ferrari will be positioned between the F430 and the Maserati GT.
